Welcome to Danube Delta
The Danube Delta is the most well preserved European Delta and the second in surface. Habitat on the UNESCO World Heritage List counts almost 2.000 plant species, over 360 bird species and 45 sweet water fish species. With over 3.000 sq km of aquatic and terrestrial natural system, is the widest wet area in Europe, its creation reaching 10.000 years. The Letea sand Forest, also found in this area, is one of the oldest natural reservations in our country.
